The ongoing and irreversible efforts by society to reduce greenhouse gas emissions has resulted in the need for executives of all industries to keep pace with developments that might affect their organizations. But the issues and events surrounding climate change and carbon reduction are diverse. They fall into a broad array of categories from regulatory and legislative issues, to carbon trading, investment, corporate reduction efforts and the all important new technologies that are being developed.

It becomes imperative for executives to have access not just to one of these areas of specialization but to at lest several, or more. That is why New Legacy Advisors created the Carbon Insider. Our mission is to provide a one-stop source of the latest trends and developments affecting carbon reduction. While our primary focus will be on events occurring in North America, we will also report on global news that can impact U.S. organizations.

Keeping current in this critical area should not eat into time and resources that need to be earmarked for carbon reduction and investment purposes. For this reason we aim to keep our articles clear, concise and readable.

At the same time there is emerging a call for more in-depth reports and reviews of what is happening across the broad spectrum of climate change. Thus we will from time to time issue full length white papers that survey the entire field. We hope that management of financial firms, industrial and consumer organizations and others will find these studies indispensable as decision making tools.
